BunkerMat® is a proven solution to the construction of bunkers on golf courses and is the perfect complement for Whitemoss Eco bunker sands.

A 3-dimensional sand retention and drainage matting, BunkerMat® traps the sand within the open structure of the fibres, enabling sand to be held on steeper bunker slopes, whilst still allowing internal water movement.

BunkerMat® also acts as an effective barrier, limiting the migration of fines from the subsoil rising to the base of the bunker and contaminating bunker sands, making them unplayable.

What these figures mean:

UV STABILITY – No matter how well maintained, the liners will become exposed to UV. The hight UV rating the longer the liner will last.

TENSILE STRENGTH – Wet sand and golfers walking up the bunker faces mean tensile strength is crucial as it will mean the liner holds together.

WATER FLOW – It’s essential that when it rains and water penetrates the packed sand, it has somewhere to go. Without sufficient in plan flow, swamping or movement of the sand occurs.

SAND PENETRATION – If too much sand passes through a liner, it will eventually push the liner to the surface causing major maintenance issues.
